They were just moments away from rolling out of Longoville on a 418 mile trip to the Badlands Truckstop. Just three short hours ago, three of the buzzers rolled into camp. After taking the best men and women from two separate squads, The Longoville Security Force rolled out and engaged The Badland Rudeboys in a short, vicious battle that cost the anarchists eight vehicles and nine of their thugs. Charles Duff walked over and crawled in behind the wheel of the lead buzzer. As senior scout of this combined mega squad, it was his job to get all of these people and vehicles safely back to the truckstop. "We're all in and ready, sir!" 'The Russian' Ivan Hurt shot Charles a thumbs up from the back of the buzzer where he was seated snugly behind his medium machine gun. 'Roughneck' Johnny Rico was sound asleep behind his heavy gatling gun. Johnny was known for taking a nap after a battle, and this night was no different. Charles shot the sleeping warrior a grin. "Better get your rest now, these night travels are almost always hairy". Long hauls have been their forte up until now. With the Badlands Truckstop as homebase, The Wasteland Caravan covered many stops in the Badlands Region. All of these stops were many hundreds of miles apart, the shortest trip being Badlands to New Longoville at just over 400 miles and the longest trek being The Alley to New Longoville, over 750 miles of dangerous, desolate terrain. Their reputation for reliability and punctuality is now beginning to pay off. A new short run has been put together to supply a couple of camps just outside the truckstop. The 'General' had to move some personnel around and had to re-purpose an older lorry and buzzer into a new delivery squad to get things rolling. The 'General' looked out the window to his small office just as the new Wasteland Deliveries squad rolled by kicking up a cloud of dust. He hoped that their first run would be a safe one. "Time to go check in on Total Death". The 'General' walked quickly over to the massive garage where the Metal Mothertruckers outfitted and repaired the many vehicles that were in service at any given time. He walked quickly through the shop, only exchanging quick greetings with the men and women working on the vehicles. There it was, sitting in a back bay. The 'General' walked around the brand spanking new trash truck he has named Total Death. From the front, it looked exactly like Merciless Death and Angel of Death. Two very dangerous Car Cannons for your gunning pleasure. Nobody was working on Total Death right then, so the 'General' had a few minutes alone just to look this incredible war rig over. It was when you walked around to the rear of Total Death that you could see the big difference between it and the earlier versions. This particular trash truck sported dual Tank Guns! These massive guns took up nearly half of the vehicle, and the ammo took up the other half. The 'General' chuckled to himself. He couldn't wait to see this thing in action. It has been a long time coming, years of searching for and then grooming the right gunners for this endeavor. *Awefense* Kings of Metal Autodueller Renegade Group: Marshals Posts: 396 Joined: Sep 20, 2011 October 2076 'General' George Patton stuffed the last remaining bit of room in the buzzer with one more can of heavy gat ammo and locked the compartment door shut. All around him, the men and women of the Metal Mothertruckers were prepping three buzzers for a quick run across the badlands to Longoville. Derek Ice, our top mechanic out at Longoville reported to us that they had captured a ganger from the Eviscerators skulking around the camp. After a little interrogation at the oil plant, he gave up everything. The dirty rat bastards have planned a nearly simultaneous assault on both the Longoville and New Longoville camps! The 'General' smiled. He was going to move fast and hit them first! First, these three buzzers with some of his best gangers aboard. Most of these guys have seen years of service with the Metal Mothertruckers, were loyal, and willing to die for the gang if necessary. Second, the Wasteland Deliveries Squad was scheduled to run to New Longoville next, but a message was able to get through and they'll be heading to Longoville. There are two more deadly gunners in that squad, and another buzzer. And third, and he knew this would be a total surprise to them, was The Wasteland Caravan in Shantyville. Just off a very heated encounter in the early COE2 round with No Aiming Just Shooting and The Darkside, these guys were itching for a little fair action without mind mages setting everything on fire! When everything is assembled in Longoville, it will be quite the show of firepower. Five buzzers, a big pickup, two lorrys, and a crew of 18 gangers. The 'General' looked over his guys busy packing the vehicles for a few days on the road. He was very proud to lead these men and women into battle. "We'll strike the Eviscerators hard, wipe them out, and then send a rapid attack force to New Longoville to deal with that arm of the attack. The Rapid Reaction Force had just rolled into Longoville just moments before. "Sir, the Eviscerators are out there. We found a small camp a few miles from here, but there were only four vehicles there. Some heavy stuff. We could definitely see an Apache and a Big Pickup.". Derek looked a little uncomfortable. "Sir, I believe there are more out there, we just didn't find them". "I believe you are right, but I want to hit them before they hit us. When the guns start blazing, I'd rather have it off in The Acid Lands then here in Longoville." The General looked over the massive camp that was Longoville. There were many, many buildings, but even more open space. A light breeze kicked up right then, swirling the red dust of Longoville. "What a great location. I really like it here", he thought. "I'm taking 3 buzzers out to hit them, Derek. I'm going to show these Eviscerators that these camps are off limits to their banditry!" The Longoville Security Force rolled out to strike the Eviscerators just before dawn. They drove straight into an ambush in the Acid Lands. Eleven rigs attacked from three positions. Four rigs from the front, this group included an Apache and a Big Pickup. Four rigs from behind. A Cadrona, a Mercenary, a Windsor II, and a Landrunner. Another Apache, a Mercenary, and a Symphony attacked from the 3 o'clock position. Fortunately, the squad was on high ground as the ambush unfolded. A quick decision was made, the squad wheeled, and attacked the four rigs coming from behind. The ambush was broken, taking a hefty amount of damage in the process. The Longoville Security Force then proceeded to annihilate every attacking vehicle. ( Event S766541 ) Some repairs were made, but the Rapid Reaction Force rolled towards New Longoville within an hour of finishing with the Longoville defense. When they arrived at New Longoville, Wasteland Deliveries was there waiting for them. Seems they didn't get the message to reroute to Longoville. ------------------------ Sebastian Blood was excited to meet 'General' George Patton. He had been a member of The Metal Mothertruckers for years, but had never even seen the General before. The Wasteland Caravan had just rolled into New Longoville, with two additional buzzers. The Genaral had arrived with several of his best gangers. "Sir, Sebastian Blood, your liason here at New Longoville, at your service." The General shook his hand. "Good to meet you Sebastian. We can have a friendly chat later, but right now, I need to know where the Eviscerators are". "Yes sir!" Sebastian had heard that the General was a no nonsense, few words, kinda guy. "This guy is all business", he thought. "Let me show you here on the map". ---------------------------------------- The New Longoville Security met and defeated six enemy vehicles. The Eviscerators had to have known that the main attack force had been wiped out at Longoville, because their morale was low and they surrendered pretty quickly. New Longoville, Longoville, and most recently, Hellz Gatez have all joined the network of Awefense /Metal Mothertrucker owned and operated camps. This has all been accomplished without a shot being fired, and not a dollar being exchanged, and in one case, without even a message! This has caused stress on the entire organization, forcing nearly a complete withdrawal from the North, which currently is progressing. I hear that our current plan is to finish and open Heavy Metal Headquarters. A new squad has been formed in Badlands and all I know is that there are four lorries being built for it. It appears that they may be back. The lights are on in Heavy Metal Gateway but production is not yet online. All efforts have been directed to repairing the vehicles of Awefense Security and Badlands Trucking. Metal Militia has been operating out of Badlands Truckstop, though just as a two buzzer squad. The trash trucks and fire engines have been sitting idle but are ready to roll. "It is good to be back", the General was heard telling his closest people. It remains to be seen how long their comeback lasts. Other concerns have been keeping the Metal Mothertruckers very busy. Heavy Metal Gateway has become a small city with just over half of the Metal Mothertruckers in camp. The Awefense Security and Badlands Trucking squads have been rebuilt. Their first defense was handled just days ago, destroying a large attack by Warthog. The Alley is open again. Things are very scaled back, but it is open. The General says that the Metal Mothertruckers will be opening up Heavy Metal Coliseum, their only camp not in the Badlands. Not sure how big their North operation will be, but large enough to warrant opening that long dormant camp. The first mechs are already enroute. Many more will follow as personnel decisions are made at the top. The gangers are abuzz with excitement. Going north appeals to many of them after more than a decade in the Badlands. *Awefense* Kings of Metal Autodueller Renegade Group: Marshals Posts: 396 Joined: Sep 20, 2011 March 2086 The dust covered car came rolling up out of the Chaos Canyon and stopped just outside Heavy Metal Coliseum. "Big Mouth" Bob Beckels jumped out of the passenger seat. It had been a very long time since he was out at HMC, formerly known as The Pentagon. Vroom! Without even a word, Victoria Hand took off and headed to Gateway Truckstop. "Better get inside", he thought as he headed towards the main mechanic building, "that nasty acid rain will be here soon". A couple of days later Sebastian Blood and Derek Ice showed up to help with the HMC restoration project. The guys are waiting for the rest of the new North Team to show up, but the re-opening of Heavy Metal Coliseum is getting close. The hardest part is freeing up gangers in the south. It's hard to do without shorting a squad. The 'General' has seen fit to promote Royal 'Ramsey' Bolton as Chief Mechanic of HMC. After serving a few years in the Badlands, this young ganger has been given a very important position in the gang. In the South, the Metal Mothertruckers are busy cleaning up the camps that are going dormant. Both Heavy Metal Truckstop and Heavy Metal Headquarters will be shut down and cleaned out for the forseeable future. The 'General' tells me that he has been in the south too long and may make the long trek back to SS. "There's young guys that are gonna need some motivating, and I'm just the man to do it!" After helping his gunners exit the old battle wagon he took a quick look at the other rigs that had rolled out on the most recent camp defense at Heavy Metal Headquarters. Most of them were fine with just minor damage taken during the battle.  The buzzer'The Famous' Fly on the Wall had taken a tank gun shell to the roof and smoke could still be seen rolling off it. The crew for the most part looked fine from where he was standing, but "I'll bet they'll be sore in the morning" crossed his mind. Paul was walking towards the debriefing area where he knew he could get a fix of after action novacaine. "Cthulhu threw their best at us. We were attacked by a Fire Engine, two Big Pickups, two Landrunners, two Razorbacks, and a pickup." "It would have been great to bring back the Heatstroke, but the tankgun landed the roof hit and we focus fired until that deadly engine caught fire." Paul walked into the debriefing area. The others were getting their preferred vice and settling in. "The loot. Even though the Fire Engine detonated, we did bring back both big pickups, a heavy gat, a car cannon, a 3.2L V8, and a 3L rotary." "Our third defense in a month. You bring it, we'll take it".
