Greets Wastelanders,

So I get home Thursday morning and find out there is no internet in the house and no intention of getting it back until after the 21st.

I'm a bit peeved, part of my rent is supposed to be going to the internet. I was more bothered because I do my final fame tunings at my camps, and work any final fame I nee to on Thursday. LV took some minor damage from being just a little over fame.

Two weeks without internet? Not going to happen. Got paid Friday morning, went to Walmart and picked up a 4G StrightTalk Hotspot for $50, on rollback, a wireless adapter for my ancient desktop, and a 5G wireless card.

Was warned not to stream video, would chew up the 5G's fast. Been playing DW and surfing the web, avoiding video, and have used about 1.2 G's so far of the five. Been on just about as much as usual, and have played many events, my trucks have to roll.

Darkwind is definitely not a data hog. Just wanted to share.

That hotspot rocks, 5 solid bars, nearly as fast as the house DSL.

Agree...although Vent chews up data relatively quickly.

Vent has the option to lower your audio bitrate - saves bandwidth immensely
