best way to skill train?

at the mo i'm just doing mail runs to get scouting, driving and gunning.

but it takes a long time between runs,

would i be better off taking 1 fast car scouting and doing a runner, would that net more skills?

or any other suggestions ?

Heyya St. Mith,
It is a murky path. Paying the $500 a week from the tavern helps. Each town has its bonuses. (i.e. Psionics in Firelight, Mechanic in TX/Sars, Driving in SS, Medic in EL etc.)
Different maps gain more skills than others. Scouting Northern Farm Land (SS towards EL) will get you a 0-1 increase while a map by Firelight might get you 3. Going back and forth from SS<>EL less than driving to Sars on way, even if you get more encounters in SS<>EL for the mileage.

Driving skills can increase by going the full 500+ meters, the longer you drive the more your skills. Shooting is murky often but seems to be based on shots fire/hit/reloaded. To me it seems the more "Pro" an event is the more likely you will get a skill but I may be speaking in tongues.
