I have noticed that town events spawn in clusters.

Often there will be 3 combats that all spawn at the same time...the events may vary slightly but usually players will just pick the one with the highest prize money.

Also on the subject of town events it would be great if PCs that were not available (for example in another event) could not be selected to enter town events. This causes unnecessary frustration particularly for newer players.

Agreed on this. I'm not sure how to post a screenshot easily, but there's currently 3 combats coming up, all the exact same time (56 minutes away).
