is there a reason why we cant close our camps, tried closing open status didnt work then pvp status said i had to wait a week for it to take effect?

To quote the wiki note.

I assume it's to avoid people from closing the camp 1 day before a fight and opening it again, or stuff like that. Since fights are scheduled 8-9 days in advance now it shouldn't be a problem.
