Can we please revert the EL/GW leauges to single races?, Because this is pretty silly

I get that the changes were made to increase participation via more time slots, but what's the point if there is no actual competition? Can we revert it to the single race format, or narrow it down to two events per week ala CoE? I mean, below screenshot is pretty silly if it keeps up for the second week.
