December 2099, Jacqueline `LEG` Davenport checked the daily races schedule.

She has been on a slump since she woke from coma. Some say she's done for. Being honest to herself she has started to feel that in, how her arms have a small trembling when under the load of crutch walking. Boneache is spreading all around, and getting worse, too many injuries are on her backpack.
She looks at herself in the mirror, the traces of youth still lingering on her face, at her 21 years she looks still young.
She has flirted with drinking to ease the bearing of the hard truth, but feels she better gets clear of that unless she wants to die too fast.
And she wants her name to be remembered in Somerset, no one has done as many races as her in the last 5 years. No one has WON as many races. She's holding a few track records, and she plans to hold a few more!.

So she went to the stands, as everyday:

- Count me in for the Moose race in Somerset Junkyard Track 3, and you can tell everyone i'm going for the record today, i will ripe LordFoul's name from this one today

Timmy, the guy in the counter, raised his sight from the desk, one brow arched to seize whether she was bluffing or deadly serious.

- Of course Jacqueline! So good to see you again in your killer mood!, you don't know how much we were missing you all that month you have been in coma, we don't have any other driver so full time engaged in races like you.

- I very well know Timmy, the Mafia is supporting us and we do our job to keep the show going on. I want the purple one this time, I'm pretty sure you can work that up for your favorite driver, could you?

Timmy was happy to see her back on such a serious mood and went to pass note of the request to the garage guys.

Everyone knows stock car races where designed to pick and let best drivers show... but sometimes, for the sake of business, they make some "arrangements". And decided that this time, it would be great for the business that Jacqueline would beat that old record. LordFoul IS a legend, but it's an old legend nowadays, and Jaqueline and Effy's are the new generation. They are the bread and butter of today's show, so "it" was decided that Jacqueline would get a little extra push just to make her return after being in coma a bigger event.

Race time showed up!, and all the racers were to pick his rides for the race. Racing mooses are not the best car you can get, but that's what the schedule had for today.
Timmy guided 'LEG' to its ride and said
- Purple, as you requested Jacqueline. We made sure the engine is in best conditions for the race.
(He seemed to lightly wink and went for the next racer)

And there it goes! The buzzer started the race! and... Jacqueline lagged behind.

- Ok, I've been out for too long, and things are not feeling that great lately, but it's time to show what experience is worth. The Mafia has even made some arrangements to get my car tuned up. I cannot fail this time, and i won't!. Let them go ahead so i can have a clear lap without anyone bothering me.
Hmmmm accel is pretty good but there's a bit too much drifting in the sand, and also countersteering should be done with extra care as this car really wants to get out of its path. The trick in this track is just get the only corner fast enough and record will be in my pocket.

"Jaqueline is about to take her first launched lap! She seems on a pretty good shape!, she's going to take the first corner a bit too fast it seems!, but she drifts masterfully and take the turn really tight!... ooops a bit too tight! she had to countersteer VERY hard, and she may lose too much time!"

"She's getting to the line... let's check the timeeee 28.75! Ooooohh she's got second best time ever 11 hundredths from LordFoul's time. That's incredible, she almost beated the crono even without taking the corner cleanly!"

- Damn me!, this Moose also oversteer at high speeds, i will have to be ready for that in next lap. This record is falling today! I can still keep my racing at the top yet!, let the doubters wait a few years more!!

"We are at the third lap!, she seems to be even a bit faster than the last one!!, let's see how the corner goes... she's taking it fast as last time... another rekless drift daring to hit the corner pillar... this is so scary!!.... but she nails it this time!!, the car perfectly positioned to push the pedal to the metal! It has been am amazing maneuver!"

"We can feel it!, LordFoul's record is being crushed just in this moments in front of our eyes!, the moose is clicking at more than 190kmh coming to the finish line!!!"

"Let's watch where the crono stoops!!!...28.28!! almost 40 tenths faster than the old record!! THAT'S IN-CRE-DI-BLE!!! TEN long years it has taken to break this record!! And 'LEG' has done it in an incredible display! What' a day to be in the racetrack!!"

-YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!! I did it!!!, i crushed the record by 4 tenths!! Let's stop this whale and get out of the car to get the cheers from them crowds!! (Happiness tears were coming to her eyes)

"BUT WAIT!, she seems to have lost control of the car!!, brakes are useless to stop a car at almost 200kmh on dirt... she is about to roll!, OOHHHH she turned 90 degrees almost on the air and is about to land on a bump sidewise!.

CRUNCH!!!

"Her car crunched and abruptly stopped on the bump!, and she's not getting out! OH DEAR! what happened there!??"

"But..... Let's take a commercial break!, stay up if you want to know how our record breaking girl is!"

- THE TRACK CLAIMED HIS PRICE FOR JACQUELINE.... DEATH!! Let's everyone one cheer one last time for Jacqueling 'LEG' DAVENPORT!!!

YOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

(Meanwhile the broadcast shows the details of the inside of the car, an imploded chest and a pool of blood all around the driver seat)

- That has been intense!, but we are not yet done today!, now let's enjoy a Blaster combat!, stay around, rockets will make this day an even better one!
