I spoke to the howlers gang, they said they fell asleep before the race. Either way, fell asleep or decided not to race, the event played out and scored they way it is intended. I know your issue is more with the player not showing up for the race and it gave joel bonus points. Thats a different topic altogether on if no shows should erase the bonus points.
