"Accomplishments made but unknown are like they were never really done," Graves thinks to himself as he settles down for a drink at Mezcal's. After more than the one he promised himself, still shook up over the run in near Broken Hills, Graves starts chatting up the other patrons, eager for the right ear to hear his tale. Poor sap sitting there, he's gonna hear the whole nasty affair....

"Yeah, things went well outta the gates of Sars...(pausing to sense if he should say the whole name)... saw a group of em behind me and, yeah, I seen em before they saw me. Floored it, darted for cover and that was all my Stormer needed to get away. But a few hours later, yeah, that's when the Southern Cartel turned up the heat."

"Three of em sped up from behind but for some reason they weren't going balls out to get me. I felt a little exposed on that stretch and began to speed up. Then it hit me... Get off the road the little mutie on my shoulder screamed in my brain. No sooner did I dive toward the ditch then there they were... three more ahead of me. Shots rang at me as the Stormer dropped into the ravine. ####, got down at wrong line and almost came to a stop. Punch it! I could hear their engines. Rat-tat-tat, ping, ping, rat-tat-tat. They were all over me. Shots blew threw the thin side armor and i could see the smoke coming from the engine. I just needed a few more seconds to couldn't tell how many were on me and didn't dare look back to see. One mistake and i woulda been muted. Get it? Muted. Just get up the slope. But i had to turn and give a fresh side. Climbing, ping ping, ping, climbing, boom, i was on top. A hard left and the whole side they removed on Duke's right was now on the safe side. They musta lost their angle, cuz from that point on, just clear skies and clearer roads. So, yeah, if you need something done, just ask for me, Graves" he concluded as he quaffed the last shot, adding a touch of real bravado, confident he can actually do what he told his boss he could....
