Cross Evan Rally Narrative mission

"come in base" " your transmission is faint - where you at?" calls back 'Checo' Perez from the Tuskan Raiders Badlands base "Just past some creepy alien town on the way to morgan. Hey i got a problem. you know those steel beams stamped for the rally mission?" "yeah - taking the morgan detour, we know that" "computer said it took some damage when i was running from some scammers trying to take me down - but theres no armour breach, no hole in the car, its just gone" "gone? were you hit?" Checo is in disbelief! "no!" sandra yells into the radio - i landed a jump and sensors indicated a coupla points of armour damage and some cargo damage, thats all!" "HOW CAN STEEL BEAMS GET DESTROYED?" Checo is off his nut - aware of the valuable that almost worthless cargo is in prize money. "I dont know!! I'm just about to cruise into morgan and get warm - what am i going to say to the rally guy?" PvtParty Paceys Raiders Darkwind Guru Slavers Faction Group: Subscribers Posts: 692 Joined: Aug 5, 2012 Not sure who wrote this event (I assume it was during my break in playing). Enjoyable little jaunt, but can't help thinking a few things: 1) It seems to think players haven't seen the various towns. I particularly liked the description of Firelight... as it's where my gang is based! 2) The author seems to think you'd take multiple vehicles. Not sure why or if anyone does. I did the whole run in a V8 Osprey. The toughest encounter I had was at the Pits on my way to Texan. SODANK did this. I did a test run before it was released. I used multiple vehicles. Surprised you could fit the item in one car and have enough gas to get to some of the long hauls. Hardest for me was coming from MO back to BL, when one of my cars rolled(which was carrying the item). Several heroic Merry Men managed to flip the car over and other provides cover fire to make the run successful. Also on way to MO I had an encounter 21 vs 3, but was able to truce it. I’m interested to see how many people fail it and how many successfully run it.
