Darkwind - Viewing Topic: How to set FIREFOX as default browser in Vista

Even if you change all the settings in Vista to use firefox as your default browser, all links within webpages still open in internet explorer.

to change this setting so you can use a real browser

press windows button (start)

then run

then type this line

firefox.exe -silent -setDefaultBrowser

if this doesnt get it there is a extension that even when you tell vista to set firefox as default isnt changed to firefox. that extension is the .URL extension. set the default extensions to .url and that will finally kill IE as the default

tell me how it works with DW, I use XP, and when tabbing between FF and DW, DW crashes.... I would like to know how to set IE as my browser for DW only (to save me all the crashes....)

TGE (on which Darkwind client is built upon) crashes when switched in Full Screen. There is and will be no fix for this - unless someone wants to rewrite the engine from the beginning (that's only thousands working hours...

).

Only solution is to play windowed.
