A Greyhounds delivery van pulls up outside Joe's in a cloud of burning rubber, and the white-faced driver makes a bee-line for the bar. "Set 'em up Joe - the strongest you've got" he says, collapsing onto a bar stool. An old-timer in the corner spits a wad of peyo-cactus into the spitoon and pipes up "Looks like you've had one of those change of underwear moments Sonny". "Damn right!" says the driver. "We were on a routine delivery run - just got into the home stretch when this pair of Windsors comes ghosting out of the dunes broadcasting a demand for a 'toll' for the use of the road. Well, you guys know it ain't company policy to pay protection, so the escort swung into action while I floored it and headed for the gates. I swear it weren't more than 30 seconds before those guys were on my tail leaving the escort burning in the road. Too damn close, but they sheered off as I got within range of the gates. Guess I'm gonna have to tell the company to upgrade the escorts round here if these guys are planning on hanging around."
