Ok. So what is going on with the enemy doing a continuous 20mph? This led to one of the longest, and definately the least entertaining scouts I've done.

Basically, the enemy vehicles moved in a cohesive pack at 20. This doesn't seem like a bug. In fact, I'm guessing this was an AI tweak. Well, it's crap. I hate it. I'm all for the AI using some tactics, but a pack moving at 20 mph is simply no fun. I've had more fun loosing. So I don't know if this is a bug or something done on purpose, but I feel very strongly that it needs to be fixed/changed.

I noticed it.
I may be wrong, but I think that this start happens after the last "givin up roll" changes Sam made to avoid very long "escaping" encounters.

Yeah, I'm going to have this 20mph decision revert when you get a bit closer. I had a busy weekend so didn't get time to do so previously. Parduz is right - the slow-down is to let you escape if it looks inevitable that you are going to do so, rather than waste an hour of your time.

If you're looking at this, Sam, pls look at HOW they think they have to give up.
When i noticed that 20mph "bug", i was scouting with other 3-4 ppl, and we was all sitting on the top of a dune at 0mph. Distance was 230-270m, this is why i guessed it have to do with the escaping evaluation...
...but really we was not moving at all waiting for them.

The "give up" change sure make fleeing faster.... maybe a bit too much....but this is not a complain :D

Not sure if this is related to the "giving up" code, but I found this chase interesting.

Not sure if anyone has seen a siren doing 149, if not here's a shot of one doing so. I had my lorry up to 137 mph and my apache doing 128 and started to lose ground when I reached 343 meters with my lorry doing 137. I decided to slow the apache down and force him to slow down with some bullets to the face and let me escape.

This was the most determined NPC car I've had to deal with as he would not give it up. If there was code put in for the npcs to give up at a certain distance, it was not working in this event. :)
