Alright, been here a couple of months so time for some dirt.

40 years old, live in the UK, and been gaming since Atari 2600 hit the UK. Had a Spectrum 48K (Battlecars was my favourite game on it), played numerous boardgames such as Car Wars and nearly everything that Games Workshop released, and then took a few years off gaming for girls and drinking, before getting back via a Sega Megadrive and 286 PCs at university. I haven't stopped since. I've worked in games development since '95 on various things that most people have never heard of. The most popular of these would be Creatures and James Pond: Operation Robocod (the GBA and PSOne versions, not the original).

I share my life with my American geologist wife, a 6 year old Timneh Grey parrot, and too many rabbits - 4 of which are house rabbits. I've got a 20 year old musician step-son who lives in the blue-ridge mountains.

Car wise I've always gone for handling over speed, which is why my car history consists of Mini Coopers and the current car is an MX5. Oh a dirty great double-cab Ford pickup but everyone needs some practicality in their life right?

Well, I might aswell introduce myself. I'm Terrence, or Tez as you know me at the moment. 18 & university student.

I found this game around 3 years ago, entered a deathrace, driver lost an arm, never played it again, however the itch to play a car combat game came & with Auto Assault out of the picture, I came back. I've never played Car Wars, so I've always thought of this game to be like Crimson Skies, but with cars.  Been playing games all my life, I remember when I was 5 playing Quake on my dads Windows 95 machine. Ah...the good old days.

Anyway, I reside in Plymouth, UK, currently doing a foundation year at university to progress onto a Mechanical Engineering degree, & when I'm not at uni I play games & guitar. I also play LFS out of term time, since I have a G25 at home, & I did play APB Reloaded till I got fed up of the lag.

When I'm at home I daily drive a '64 Mini when I can, insurance is killer over here. Also I look a little like this, since had my hair cut.

Nice picture, Snipe. The mountains are gorgeous, and I love the car; my dad has a restored, '55 Bel Air 2-door post in Neptune and Seafoam green with a straight-six in it.

I've been playing for two and a half years now, so I suppose I'm overdue to post my profile on here; it will be long and rambling, with plenty of pictures.

Awesome scenery, Snipe. I'm jealous.

I live in beautiful Queens, New York. My brother-in-law lives on the sixth floor of our building, and from his window you can see Citi Field. I live on the ground floor, and from my window you can see the bus stop. B)

Ouch, shame on me. :o

In my defense, that never even occurred to me, as my own lovely wife provides all the "scenery" I need.

No offense meant, good Sir Snipe!

Right, so, here's the view from my kitchen window. The bus stop is across the street, behind the blue car:

Here's the bus stop with a bus in it:

I'm surprised I haven't done this already. This is one of those games I keep coming back to (the others are XCOM, Jagged Alliance, Dwarf Fortress, the Roguelikes, and Minecraft).

In first grade I feigned a stomach ailment so I could stay home and play Space Invaders on the Atari 2600 all day, and it's been downhill since. I used to literally walk two miles to get to an arcade, but my hometown was so boring this was not a hardship.

At age 9 a friend of mine showed me this game I thought was called "The Keep on the Borderlands" and I've been hooked on RPGs ever since. D&D, GURPS, Shadowrun, Gamma World, Rifts, Champions, Car Wars, Battletech. Ever since I saw The Road Warrior I've been obsessed with post-apocalyptic scenarios and cars with guns. I have notebooks full of GURPS Vehicles designs, which would shock and sadden you if you knew what that was.

I found Darkwind while I was in the initial stages of trying to make a game just like it, so thanks to Sam for saving me the time (and doing a better job). The community here is fantastic and I'd be a more active part but I can't set aside the unlimited timeouts you get from playing solo.

I just turned 40, I live in South Carolina with a wife and two boys and, like every single one of you, I drink hard liquor and play in a rock and roll band. (Check out Malmuk on iTunes, MOG, Amazon, etc.)

My car is a Roush Stage 2 Mustang, bought new in 2000. Powertrain's still in great shape but the interior is slowly disintegrating. Before that it was a '77 Impala and before that a '55 Bel Air.
