history is about to be made. If the owners of the pirate bay loses their trial and the site goes down does this mean the end of bit torrent?

The bittorent protocol is used for a lot legal stuff to.
It will never go down.

Theres a lot more out there than just pirate bay ... and torrent sharing ( Mp3 theft ) will continue while the record industry charge stoopid prices for there plastic circles.... shhh dont tell anyone, but i occasionally d/l using torrents ( ahhemmm ) and remember the end of the world scenario when napster went down

there is many many other torrent sites but piratebay was the easiest to use

hmm..member of demonoid too.. was a pretty active member and used to visit the Mirc demonoid room all the time.. but awhile back the site was temp. closed(several months) and when it reopened, i had moved and lost my internet connection.Just rechecked if my account had been purged yet.. relogged in and to my surprise i was in.. LMAO.. right on

I dont use torrents much anymore but on occasion I will

mininova is the main one I use, but piratebay is used alot too..

Only registered at 3 torrent sites and 2 are porn LOL.. now ya see my priorities.. much safer than going to a porn site.. for real and full movies

on the subject of piracy:
I remember when I was a teenager and used to make\gets dubbs of my faverate groups to cd\cassete from friends..I still dont see the difference....just the way it is shared is different i guess..

The biggest problem certain authorities are having imo is that the internet crosses political/country boundaries and several or most countries dont care.. Russia,china, and canada(dont know if this this holds true),and alot of others ... The authorities in the US try to use scare tactics with high profile arrest or so to scare others and it works on a small minority of ppl.The tactics used are unsavery to say the least.. i have a doc on my other pc that explains in detail the practices of RIAA.. All you can do is scratch your head and ask yourself.. thought i lived in America.. seriously...
