Does the client work on 64-bit Vista

Congestion Too Live Crew Pedestrian Renegade Group: Members Posts: 8 Joined: May 1, 2009 I'm failing miserably at getting this to work under 64-bit Vista. I keep getting the "Unable to launch the Darkwind client application. It is likely that darkwindLobby has failed to update the game. More information will be displayed." I tried both the 32- and 64-bit versions of the C++ runtime. My Java is current. Has anyone else got this to work? If so, how? ......................... vet Posted May 4, 2009, 6:12 pm

Inspired by your response I tried to force the game into administrator-mode by running it from the start-menu and choosing "Run as administrator", and presto! Works like a charm. I made the mistake of thinking that I was automatically the administrator since I am alone on this computer. Clearly, it is not so. Good ole vista assumes everyone does not know a thing about computers and should be protected from themselves by default.
