Liz Carrier lounged in her usual spot looking particularly out of place in new green and black uniform. She read and re-read the report that had come in from Badlands and finally looked at long-time confidante and bodyguard Kelly King.

"Well it looks like the girl scouts have stiffed us on that mechanic deal".

Kelly laughed "Yep, seems like we are not the only ones, stiffed a few others as well, worse than us, seems the girl scouts are claiming they have made $2,050,000 in total"

Liz looked at the barman and signalled for a fresh round of tequila "Well, seems a shame, they have been solid business partners in the past" Liz paused to take a sip of her newly arrived drink "those Firelight - Badlands escorts were fun, and we did well of the exotic weapon sales not to mention that hoard of electronic parts, oh well all good things must come to an end I suppose"

Kelly just nodded and waited for Liz's decision as to what would happen. "$2,050,00 is such an ugly number, tell you what send them another $200,000 - if they are desperate enough to steal from us in first place, least we can do is help them out - makes the number much prettier too - 2 and a quarter million sounds so much nicer"

Kelly knew better than to question Liz on a matter of such importance and rose to arrange the money transfer.

"Oh and Kelly! Best send back that new bedding we bought for their mechs to sleep in?"

"Yes boss" Kelly groaned inwardly he had been looking forward to passing off his own bedding for some of the new stock.

"Oh and Kelly! Wire the guys in Somerset, tell them to step up scouting operations we need some more money - I hear there is a bridge for sale in Badlands"

Liz chuckled to herself, she had to hand it to the girl scouts - they had pulled of a neat scam.

Hey couldn't help listening in, but If this kind of treason happened to us we would'nt take to kindly nor care about the money but the principal of the thing, we would take these err stack-full and thump them on their bald heads we would, out of principal!

He leans on the bar and absorbs a jin tonic while eyeing you deeply, then takes off his hat, and scratches his head his gaze wandering

Barton "Jerry" Garcia looks at the others and grins.
