Bessie 'Big Guns' Gill lowered her binoculars and sighed. Willard's voice crackled over the short wave radio.

"Merchants of Venice. For sure."

"I don't see a cargo rig though, are you certain?"

"Yesiree. I recognize the driver in the Elim. Its Nightmare."

"Fine, lets go in. Maybe they're carrying something high priority. As they say, wonderful things come in small packages. Gabriella, lets go in left flank." Bessie ####ed her 50 cal and lined up her target.

"Food?" Bessie kicked a pistol out of the hand of the trader who lay dead in the dust, his blood drying quickly in the hot air.

"That's it, two frikkin' boxes of dehydrated pumpkin? Cripes, what the hell is wrong with these damn idiots?"

Willard got out of the Last Caress, a beautiful sea-foam green Moray.

"Bessie, there was no cargo vehicle in that convoy. Just the three combat fitted escorts."

"Yeah, I know. Must be hard times, these losers can't even get an Estate. Why the hell are they even out going between towns, the dumb bastids! I swear, the Doc's gonna have a fit! Alright, lets get the cars back to town. Try not to eat that huge, fabulous feast on the way!"

Bessie picked up the pistol, acted like she was going to shoot herself in the side of the head, and grinned.

"A girl can't even have any fun anymore, what a lousy post-apocalypse!"
