a weird little problem - internet explorer

*goat starer* Special Circumstances Darkwind Guru Evan Reds Faction Group: Contributors Posts: 10,908 Joined: Oct 29, 2007 The darkwind website keeps crashing IE to the point where I have to terminate the process (cant terminate the application) in task manager. It happens when i close IE or navigate away from the Darkwind site. The whole computer locks up.. CPU usage goes to 100% and sticks there. IE shows as not responding in the task manager. I would think it was my computer but it does this on no other websites i have found. Any technical types out there have any ideas? (other than the usual one of 'why are you using that microsoft crap.... I'm running IE7, on WinXP-home When I start DW Client, I usually open of 2 windows: - Ganger pages (with 4 tabs opened: Info, Characters, Vehicles and squads) ... and assorted - Forum page When I go to close IE after a DW session, IE does the same things you describe and just plain locks up. I have fixed it already for the new website I'm working on; will fix the current site too now. I didn't realise it was causing a serious problem for others (it's nothing more than a popup message for me, no crash). edit: sheesh, it took a while to find again actually.
