::..Julie "The Horror" Baca, longtime leader of Shattered-n-Bloody, looks out over the expansive area of the converted chemical plant that now holds the majority of her vehicles..::

"...yo, "Sabbath," what's the word on that install?" she yelled down from her elevated office's wrap-around walkway.

Adelberto "Sabbath" Sabatini, Shattered-n-Bloody's chief mechanic, slid his dolly out from under the front end of the team's only Lorry, grabbed a rag and wiped his hands as he looked up from his prone position.

"You talking about the 'aitch-gats?' " he yelled back.

"Yes, you pug-nosed spaghetti-eater, I am." she quipped, smiling.

"Well okay then, you rotten-crotched wool-muncher...at least we're on the same page." he shot back. "We're just finishing up on the last of the 'paches...so that's 5 once this one's finished. Considering we had to wire our own harnesses...that ain't bad. So quit your bitching at me...I have work to do!"

Another ganger rolled out from under the Lorry. "Poochy" Howard, covered in grease, groped about for a rag. His face was covered in oil.

"Oh, for the luva..." said "Sabbath," stuffing the rag he held into the flailing hand of his assistant. "What in the hell did you do?"

Howard dragged the rag across his face, spat out a bit of oil, and spoke. "I think I put a hole in the filter...."

Spinning his dolly around, Sabatini dragged himself back under the Lorry's front end. A long string of shouted expletives echoed throughout the vehicle bay.

"Hand me that filter wrench, you worthless spud-brain!" he yelled, one grimy hand flashing out from under the reinforced rams. Jerome threw open the tool chest and fumbled only a second before grabbing the wrench. Holding it by its end, he eased it towards the hand of his mentor, being careful not to expose enough of his hand to be grabbed. It disappeared under the Lorry.

"FILTER YOU MORON! Do I have to tell you everything???" he berated the fledgling mechanic.

Howard raced to the wall nearest the Lorry, reaching up to grab a new filter. Seconds later he was handing this, also, under the massive, angled bumper...and realized a second too late his arm was wholly under the Lorry...he'd been suckered.

"Sabbath" grabbed hard onto the newbies wrist and, bracing himself with the undercarriage...pulled hard. The resounding, and quite satisfying, report of a skull being rapped hard against the Lorry's rams brought a smile to his face. A second later, the unconscious form of his assistant slumped to the floor, his face landing in a small puddle of oil.

"...hope you drown, you imbecile."

Julie watched the little drama unfold below her. She hoped the kid wasn't dead...but it wouldn't be the first assistant Adelberto had 'offed' because of piss-poor performance.

She turned and walked back into her office, approaching the chalkboard upon which were listed all her vehicles and what, if anything, was being done to them.

That made 5 Apaches now outfitted with twin Heavy Gatling Guns. Add the one stuffed with a Car Cannon and she wasn't altogether unpleased. She'd set out to revamp Shattered-n-Bloody's vehicles and, with some lucky purchases...most above board, she'd been able to wrangle some great new equipment.

Another month and, with the new, larger engine installed and checked out in the Lorry, she'd be able to start doing runs out to the camps that ringed Somerset and Elmsfield.

She'd been seeing to intensive training for all her gangers for quite a while now. Once she was able to stop bleeding money and resources with the revamp and refits...the S-n-B crew could get back out into the wastes and start doing some damage to the shadier occupants of the wastes.

She couldn't wait.

I'm always willing to help write for the gazette...just let me know what you're looking for: outright fiction...something based on events...heck, even send me a video from someone's event and I'll do a write-up on it!

Anything for you...you know that. Want my sister?

LOL DA! I'll keep an eye out for some good events that I think would write up into a good story and let you know.

After a few write ups we may make you a card-carrying member of the Gazette team. hehehe
