A bit overrated sure, but it beat C&C3, which honestly bored the crap out of me. My favourite FPS of all time has to be The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. IMO it sets the benchmark for all other FPSes. It's atmospheric, it's got very varied gameplay, it feels like a movie, solid gunplay, and of course you get to hurl massive destruction at the poor sods who guard the prison at the end of the game. Other FPSes I love include the classics, like Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Strife etc. Also, very fond of Deus Ex and System Shock 2, which stand as two of my favourite games of all time. http://www.gog.com <--- best site for games ......................... vet wv zom Posted Oct 27, 2009, 4:43 am

Pretty much any of the main Final Fantasy games: I haven't played them all, but they've always impressed me. Civilization III: The only one I've played (other than the campy one they ported to PS3 recently), I still go back to it now and again. Diablo II Any Gran Turismo game Fallout II (III was complete schlock in comparison. My opinion isn't humble, just correct. ) Mario Kart: The original one for SNES. I haven't played it in a long time but I'm not sure there's a game which has taken a larger part of my life from me. Rock Band 1/2/Beatles: I've always wanted to be in a band. Now I'm in a couple hundred! I'm about to get Demon's Souls (waiting for it on backorder) and intend to get Dragon Age: Origins just as soon as I can manage it. They both sound like excellent games and are getting incredible reviews. BF2 it's probably a dead game now, but as FPS multiplayer goes, I've never enjoyed anything more (other than Duke3D) Supreme Commander I love a game that uses so much computer that you mostly play via 2D minimaps with ASCII icons representing different units. ......................... vet wv Posted Oct 27, 2009, 5:00 pm

*Ninesticks* The Wombles Darkwind Guru Renegade Group: Marshals + Rule Council Posts: 3,371 Joined: Apr 11, 2008 Good to be reminded of all the older great games, MOO, the Close Combat series, Jagged Alliance 2 etc. Turn-based I still find myself back with the Steel Panthers series every now and then, and the new Blood Bowl was a most welcome addition to that area. Not a huge fan of FPS but I really enjoyed Max Payne 2. All the Fallouts, shame 3 lost some of the game's inherent flavour.
