This road has more twists and turns than a sidewinder snake on a hot sand dune! IF you can stay on the road, the traction and speed gained is offset by the many sharp corners you must negotiate. On the PLUS side, most of the road is bordered by large rolling hills that can, if you plan it right, absorb the majority of enemy gunfire that you will undoubtedly encounter while traveling to or from Elmsfield. While most of the road is basically flat and smooth, there are spots that drop into and out of a few dry river beds. Also, the sand on both sides of the road hides some insidious bumps that can and will cause you to lose control of your vehicle and possibly roll you onto your back faster than a sophomore on spring break!  Image by Lord Foul If running this twisty road is not to your liking, you can try to outrun the pirates off-road in the dunes. You MUST pick your route very carefully if you choose this option though. You might try an all-out speed dash in the dunes but personally, I would advise against it because the dunes hide MANY more car-turtling bumps than the road hides and there are also some tire damaging rocky areas that will chew up tires like a hungry orphan! If you are a combat aficionado, the tactics you can use here are mind boggling! Notice in the picture above, the rather high hill on the outside of the road. If you can place a car there, the sniping possibilities are endless because 1, the gunfire from pirates probably wont reach you at that altitude and 2, the pirates more than likely wont find a way up the hill to get you! Sniping from this height offers you the lightly armored top of any enemy vehicle to shoot at and, once breeched, will demoralize the car almost intact for some GREAT loot! If sniping is not your style, the hills off-road offer some nice hiding spots and bullet deflectors when you need them! This marks the retirement of Billy `The Ace` Bishop and his reign of terror in the Ped combat leagues. The first Ped combat retiree ever as far as we know...that was alive when retired. His triple Sniper rating has earned him this reward. Joel`s Bastards call it `The Wooden Submachine Gun`.  Bumbleclot made an early move towards the lead, peppering the cars ahead with rocket fire but The Mages got lucky and sent another gang`s car into Bumbleclot`s, allowing The Mages to fire back and take the lead. Entorano Zargtyferz in the meantime shot up through the ranks and breached The Mages armor but was shot up in the back by the rest of the approaching racers.
