 With the aura at its highest levels for many seasons, many gangs didn’t bother sending out their drivers to compete in the Super Speed Weekend. In fact the first race showcasing the Turin chassis was a very one side affair with just one gang showing up; an easy win for The Wolfhounds. The second race was an outing for the Royal Eaton, and again it was another easy race but this time the winner was Brassicas, now the overall table was tied between the two early entrants. Third races and it was the turn of the Cougars on the Speedway, and the track saw its first proper race with a number of gangs turning out. The victory went to Stargazer, but with Brassicas coming second, they took the lead in the overall event. The fourth race saw the Hotrod out on the track, and the most entries of all the races, with 6 gangs out on the track. The driver from Hot Trax showing he had all the hot moves and taking the win. Both Stargazer and GEEK Racing manage to close the gap to Brassicas in the overall event but beating them on the track. The fifth race saw the only fatality during the event, with Brassicas carrying on their run of bad luck in the DeVille and crashing out. The win went to PA Racers, whilst GEEK Racing managed to close the gap again to Brassicas. Bullets were the chassis on show in the sixth race, with the win going to Brassicas, but he was pushed hard by PA Racers for the whole length of the race. In the overall event, it was looking good for Brassicas with only GEEK Racing with any chance of beating them. On to the last race and it was the turn of the McKenzie on the track. The only chance for GEEK Racing was to take the win, but it was PA Racers who crossed the line first. Even though they crossed the line in last place, Brassicas went on to win the overall event.
