| Tim 'The Wheelman' Willis | -^-HellRazors-^- | The Wilderness | 2013-11-11 | It was like any other race Tim had done, go in and make the rookies risk it all to catch him before crossing the finish line as very few have ever beat Tim in a race. Tim had lived through many attempts on his life over the years almost always evading certain death or serious injury. He knew at some point that one of his adversaries would find a way to defeat or end his life, his luck could not last forever and his age was starting to affect his abilities behind the wheel
Mid race - COE III - 2069, Tim was struggling to keep the Road Runner under control in the rugged Texan landscape. The car was not designed to handle this type of terrain and no amount of driving skill could keep a driver from having difficulty with this car under these conditions. But something was amiss, Tim was noticing some oddities with the car he had never experienced before and it was starting to concern him as other racers were slowly catching up with him. His first sign of trouble was the slight turning of the wheel to go around a pole that ended up having the car swerve wildly to the left and making the front end bounce off the pole, causing the car to sputter and stall. It took a few seconds for Tim to get the car going again and a few of the rookies made their move catching up to Tim. Tim recovered well enough and the race became more interesting with the rookies now challenging Tim for the lead. Tim had regained the lead for about 15 seconds and again the car acted strange with serious flexing and creaking even when the car was not taking damage. This made Tim to lose focus for a second with the car catching the edge of a rut, which caused the car to lurch to the left make it hit a protruding boulder, slowing the car enough for one of the rookies to pass Tim. Tim again recovered quickly, punched the nitro and was trying to retake the lead once again, but the car was fighting Tim with every move. As he crested a large hill he again took a moment to try and ascertain what could be causing he car to lurch awkwardly and make audible clunking and clanking sounds. Tim looked in the most recent direction of the latest clunk and to his shock noticed the tubular frame of the roll cage had been hastily cut in multiple areas at odd angles. Tim had then realized his ride was sabotaged, he became nervous as the car came over the large hill, losing traction enough to cause the car to leave the ground and lean in towards a pond of slick oil. Tim thought to himself that the armor on his car should still be sufficient enough to handle the hard landing that would occur even with the compromised roll cage. Unfortunately on this day Tim would be mistaken, as he was not aware that other areas of the car had been sabotaged, including the armor. Tim braced for the landing with the front end heading into the oil pond, the car landed with a loud crunch of metal breaking/creaking on both sides of the car at the same time. This forced the compromised roll cage to snap in half, fold inward and hit Tim in the head with enough force to break his helmet, shattering his skull
The clouds were thick and fog was everywhere making it hard to see clearly. The figure of a man could be seen leaning on what appears to be a railing. The man waits for what seems like an eternity, gazing consistently at a flight of stairs that reach that area where he is waiting. Sometime later the figure of another man could be seen slowly ascending the nearby stairs, as he reaches the top the man leaning over the railing walks towards the stairs. As they meet they both appear to recognize each other and shake hands. An exchange of words occurs as they greet each other.
--I`ve been waiting for you--in reply--I knew you would be.
Both men proceed to walk side by side towards what appears to be a brightly lit entrance, as they approach another exchange of words occurs.---So old man, still think you can beat me?--in reply--Of course, just keep your bag of dirty little tricks closed--in reply--Wheres the fun in that?--Both men proceed to Laugh--Lets race. As both men proceed through the entrance, the emblems on the back of their leather jackets could be seen, one has the words Hellrazors- with the name Tim Willis and the other Joels Bastards-with the name Joel Auebach. Somewhere in the distance the sounds of cheering fans and roaring engines could be heard.
Side note: Roll cages don`t work |
