She managed to save the buzzer she was driving, and the rest of the crew, but sacrificed herself in the effort.
Also, we keep finding her teeth in the buzzer... Eww.
The event was a few seconds from ending and I let him complete his assigned move. Unfortunately The code Sam created for the ramp had him leap off the ramp instead of slide down like it normally would elsewhere on the ledge, a fatal and costly mistake. At least he helped the gang win the season before meeting his untimely demise.
