Sam -
Can you list in the gang's activities how much we received in cash from these leagues? I have no way of figuring a monetary amount based on looking under my finances and want to give my teammates their share. Also regarding the special training voucher - I see a button on the ganger's paperdoll...but this is only visible to my gangers in SS and not in any other town. Also, if these are tradeable...how can this be done? Lastly, if I got special training vouchers in 2 Divisions, how do I know which one I am training with? Thanks, Longo |

Use them on two different gangers is how I did it with mine, otherwise I think you have to wait untill after friday training (I'm assuming that's when their "special training" will come into affect) before using another voucher on the same ganger. |

*Longo* Posted Apr 25, 2010, 1:17 pm |
How do you pick between the two? After you hit the button, does it ask you which one you want to use? |
FireFly Posted Apr 25, 2010, 1:24 pm |
Would be nice if we could use them outside SS...
And tell how much skill each is worth, this is to much of a guessing game |

Either I earned no bonus, or because my home town is FL, I can't use them.
It makes me a sad puppet. |

I didn't chose, I just slapped 2 gangers into special training |

Bump- This stuff gets buried when you take a day off Sam! |

*sam* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 1:28 pm |
Yes, it's special training that's redeemable in one specific town. That being your team's home-town.
It's not yet possible, I didn't write the code yet. If you're in a hurry and have agreed a price with someone, I can manually switch it to them.
Currently, you don't. I was kind-of thinking that it didn't really matter, since they all operate the same. They all give you a +3 training boost each week (so it will take several weeks to use up a big one).
Did you 'visit the tavern' with your character? That's where training is set. It *should* work in FL too. edit: I see you have no voucher, simon. The down-scaling of prizes due to not having a full division must have caused that. |

FF - why choose that as a hometown then?
FireFly Posted Apr 26, 2010, 3:57 pm |
Simply put?
I had no idea it would relate to the training bonus, since this wasn't mention before, and I only thought it would decide were my home fights were. |
*jimmylogan* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 4:00 pm |
Fair enough - guess I thought about it in a different way - I was thinking 'chosen home town' is just that, for everything to do with the league. |

*jimmylogan* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 4:04 pm |
Quick question Sam - this is used in SS, for example, but does it follow them if them move?
IOW - can I bring a guy from camp that's maxed in mech and assign him then take him back to camp? Or will it only work each thursday/friday while in SS ? |
*sam* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 4:50 pm |
Yeah, it would follow them.
And FF- you're right, I really should have mentioned it. I hadn't really decided at the time. |
FireFly Posted Apr 26, 2010, 4:53 pm |
Oh well |
*Tinker* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 6:48 pm |
Sam would it be possible to know how many training weeks we have? so as to best choose our gangers for the boost.
Also to clarify, does the training bonus raise the cap(s) on all the skills? for instance if i have a guy that's maxed in mec in the 90's, if i use a point on him and train him in gunnery (currently in the 60's) will it one day go above his cap? or do i have to train him in mec first, and all the other skills will cap at the new max? |
*sam* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 7:04 pm |
OK, I have just added this. It shows how many points are left (3 are used up per week).
No, all that happens is that the skill they're training in gains 3 points regardless of their 'official' cap. |
FireFly Posted Apr 26, 2010, 7:16 pm |
To clarify, I can send this guy to shantyville, start the training, then send him back the same day?
*sam* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 7:42 pm |
That should do it FF, yes.
FireFly Posted Apr 26, 2010, 7:43 pm |
To be fair, it feels kinda pointless that you have to get the guy to that specific town, if you can then just move him again, or rather, it feels pretty unnecessary.
Also, can you stop the training once it has started? |
*Tinker* Posted Apr 26, 2010, 11:45 pm |
Where? i just see the start special training button, afraid to press it... |

Question about the amount of training I will get:
I came in 2nd in Div 5 which had a prize of 4% Production increase and 4 points of Training. The Pentagon only received 2% Production increase, so should I assume that I will only receive 2 points of training? Kind of important to know because the guy I planned on training with 4 points is maxed at 96. |
*sam* Posted Apr 27, 2010, 9:34 am |
Yeah, I know. I didn't consider all possibilities at the time. What I'll probably do is force the character to stay in the correct town.
yes |
*sam* Posted Apr 27, 2010, 9:34 am |
When you assign a character to the special training, you'll see how much training is left on their character sheet. |
*sam* Posted Apr 27, 2010, 9:35 am |
Don't be afraid, it's really relatively painless. (You'll see the amount when you assign the character; and you can un-assign them anytime). |

Joel Autobaun Posted Apr 29, 2010, 11:17 pm |
How long do we have these things? I have to move some gangers up to SS to get the training and I think I can squeeze another point of Driver skill in Joel "Autobahn" before he's totally capped and rdy for this...so we got a year until next year or what? |

Would it be possible to update the prize list for each Division after the league starts to show the actual prizes that will be awarded based on number of human players?

Any answer on this Sam? I have not noticed any prize money being deposited. Even at 50% I would hope I'd notice 800k. |

Something does not add up. In division 2 we had 4 human teams So this leaves 6 slots for NPCs or just empty slots. 5% x 6 = 30% reduction is prizes. I received a 50% reduction is prizes. This may have affected others as well, so you guys that placed may want to check your points to see what % you lost if any. |
Joel Autobaun Posted May 3, 2010, 6:48 am |
Ya my prize was half. |
*Marc5iver* marcgillespie55@gmail.com Posted May 3, 2010, 6:49 am |
In Division 5 we had 5 human teams and 1 NPC. For finishing in 2nd the initial prize would have been $480,000, 4 Training and 4% Camp Production boost. I only received 2 Training points and 2% production boost. Based on numbers in my Finance section I don’t think I even received half of the prize money which would have been $240,000.
Based on the 5% reduction should have received 75% of the prize amount. |

*sam* Posted May 3, 2010, 12:33 pm |
Hmm.. unfortunately I didn't log the calcs as they were happening; I have changed it for next year though.
I assume the problem is because of the way I did the 'mark down': it was applied to the top prize, and then the other prizes were calculated as a fraction of the top prize. Since each stage performed rounding, these effects must have accumulated. I'll change it so that the mark-down is done on each prize separately. Can you PM me with approx. what you were 'short-changed' by? |
*sam* Posted May 3, 2010, 12:39 pm |
In terms of logging this stuff in 'recent activities' .. yes, in fact I intend to overhaul the way that recent activities are stored in the database to make adding new items much easier. Then I'll be able to add various things such as ganger deaths etc. there too.
*Tinker* Posted May 3, 2010, 12:56 pm |
cool!
edit: i think i received 50% as well for finishing 3rd at 100% i should have gained 6 pts of training, think it should have been around 75%? forget |
simonmaxhill Posted May 4, 2010, 5:01 am |
I got no prize! I think I shoulda got something, but math is hard, so I'll just try to do better next league.
*Marc5iver* marcgillespie55@gmail.com Posted May 9, 2010, 5:37 pm |
To help prevent this confusion after the coming year, really think you (Read SAM) should update the prize tables for each division based on the number of human players that are in the division. That we will know what we should receive instead of having to guess and/or calculate it ourselves.
*Longo* Posted May 9, 2010, 7:42 pm |
Good idea. |
*Tinker* Posted May 12, 2010, 10:23 pm |
has this been implemented? seems like it |

*sam* Posted May 12, 2010, 11:05 pm |
Yes, I made it so after the 'pre season' has ended the displayed prizes are calculated based on no. of human teams
