Neither of us were seeking a PVP encounter. Seems he was doing similar - running, agreed a truce - simple as. Event ID S336366
Ragnak Posted Apr 7, 2011, 9:42 am	Unarmed bullet vs an unarmed BPU cargo hauler. I deployed behind GB so my grillwork must have been deemed the more agressive. Also had a similar experience with gen mayhem hour earlier though not sure if he was traveling or scouting out of BL.

JS Posted Apr 7, 2011, 11:07 am	Will likely happen even more now that all players are "open" in the south. Any movement is now thrown into the encounter pool. Since a good portion of movement was immune it was automatically ignored, all those will now be checked for a PvP encounter. Interesting effect actually. That in itself will "increase" PvP encounters, if not actually combats. 80s and I (I think it was 80s, it was friend in any event) had a random travel encounter at GW gates once. We agreed to race to the gates, first one there won some amount we had bet on, forget how much. Good little diversion.

*Longo* Posted Apr 7, 2011, 2:10 pm	These random encounters are generally a surprise for both parties. They generally conclude in a truce, but most times both parties will get that uneasy feeling in their stomach when they see they have encountered another player. Nothing to worry about.
d0dger Posted Apr 7, 2011, 2:12 pm	Yeah this happens from time to time with folks who are PVP flagged as well. Usually ends up being a race or see who can do the best stunt jumps or some such. I believe it actually takes place of what would have otherwise been a potentially deadly NPC encounter...
