d0dger Posted Apr 19, 2011, 11:54 pm	Voted other, had one pvp encounter so far during trial time with another pvp flagged player (so nothing to do with the trial) who I thought was rolling a low CR interceptor trying to catch an unarmed courier leaving BL. Found out he was just rolling a single car solo intended to fight NPCs. I gave him his car back after we were done, slightly worse for wear but repairable.

Jake Nikodemus Posted Apr 21, 2011, 3:27 pm	Well, I have said that I think global fame should determine flag eligibility and I am putting my money where my mouth is on this one. I have changed my flag to open PvP. I am happy that I have the flag and continue to believe that regional PvP is the flaw that needs to be fixed. So something positive has come of this, at least one more player has changed the flag to open PvP. Over the next few weeks I hope to see hope well this idea works out. -Jake
The Paranoid Tourist Posted Apr 21, 2011, 3:33 pm	I had one random encounter and one intercept. The random encounter was mutual, with me playing the attacker against a lorry. The lorry had much better gunners and repelled my loan Apache. I had to turn tail and run. Both parties got away safely. The other encounter was me intercepting someone. That was a fun encounter, and I came out the victor. Both encounters, however, were in the north, where the PvP flag still operates, so the test had little to do with them.

*General Mayhem* Posted Apr 21, 2011, 4:05 pm	I had 2 fighting encounters and 1 mutual meeting with no combat. Arsed kicked by PT and Goat respectively. Both I enjoyed and although I lost, I learnt a lot regarding PVP. Sniper nerf made the Goat encounter a close fought affair. I don't think I would have got close enough otherwise. It also highlighted that lighter weapons could be useful when holding range over the CC. Still think PVP is a good thing, though the two guys I have PVP'd made it so. This may not be the case with everyone, but you have to roll with it. Mayhem

Kornkob The Dude Posted Apr 21, 2011, 5:36 pm	As I said in the previous thread, I think that has a lot to do with an oddly constructed poll and the rather hostile turn the discussion of the topic took--- negative campaigns tend to produce negative votes. I thought more people would be so turned off that they'd not vote at all, which is one of the most common responses to negative campaigns. I also think that a 'Present but not voting' option would probably have generated a different result profile (PvP Open dominant, I think).

I sold the loot back to the other guy and there seemed to be no bad blood.
