I think the "Squad Vs. Squad (PvP) Scheduled Town Attack" events provide the best opportunity for healthy PvP activity. I suggest that these events should become more prevalent.
I also have an idea. Cancel all other events in that town for a period of time before and after a scheduled attack to encourage more people to take part in the event. Imagine if your travels, non-league events, and everything else were on hold in SS (for example) for an hour (or whatever.) Wouldn't you more likely join the town attack or defense? What do you think? Don't we need to encourage more participation in "Town Attack" events? |

While I'm not against promoting them, canceling ALL other things in that town for that duration? Sorry, but no, especially travels. Just because I launch a travel doesn't mean I'm going to play the encounter(s) right then.
Plus there are just times that solo events are better for my schedule. |

I agree with not cancelling the travels. I was just throwing ideas out. But cancelling scouts, ANCs, scheduled league and non-league events could definitely get more people involved.

Makes sense. Chances are if a town is under attack, they aren't just going to let you waltz out the gate.
Would like to see the bugs removed before anything like that went in though. |

I would like try one of these events. I find scheduled events difficult to make. I think they are a great idea for most people.
But I don't like the idea of forcing people to play a certain way. Canceling people's non-pvp events to make them play pvp sounds like a big mistake. Maybe publicity is he key. |

It does make good 'realism' sense. That's a good way to look at it. What bugs? |

Town attacks are usually not PvP - try the SCL | ||

Agree with both points, The last sentence above is a huge can of worms. |

I tried a town defense once. I chose the "wrong" side in this particular event, and faced 3 players on the opposing team. They made short work of me and took my vehicle.
I don't know if something could be done to prevent such situations, or if we (collectively) feel this is part of participating in town defenses. |

I chose the "wrong" side of an SS event, and ended up in a 2v7 or something like that. Won it and looted a laser + HCR + HGG.
S182992 It's a competetive event, that means there's a winner and a loser. It's part of the game. |

Also chose the "wrong" side once, the 4 players on the other side went from "Sorry man" to "Dafuq man" during the event.
Don't underestimate a player backed by suicidal AI cars |

I believe the saying was "Get them my AI HORDE!"
Then next round.. " I've always wanted to say that" |

I'd still like to see militia events available by request, same as other town-related, npc-heavy events. It would be the equivalent of "going on patrol" with the militia... I assume they're always patrolling in one form or another.
After all, the Dread Pirate Roberts Horde is always close to Florin Somerset this time of year. |
