[After many weeks of constant disappointment, closed Gazette office doors, and an unfulfilled promise, you can scarcely believe your radiation-ridden eyes when you swing past the office of the Darkwind Gazette, and find the doors wide open.]
[Without hesitation, and only a slight twinge of fear as you shoot a quick glance towards the Desk of Criticism and Objections, you cross the room to the Gazette vooting booth, where a large, emboldened sign reads:] The First Darkwind Gazette Bi-Annual Dream Event Vote, phase 2! To honour the memory of a peculiar tradition lost in time and darkwind destruction, the Darkwind Gazette hereupon bestows a yuletide gift upon you, its rabid readers: The second phase of the Dream Event Vote. Yes, indeed. Two contestants have been choosen by none other than yourselves, and it is time to determine their means of mutual destruction. So, without further ado, the Darkwind Gazette presents the first two contestants in the First Bi-Annual Dream Event Vote: The Clarinbridge Crushers versus The Road Ronins It is our greatest pleasure to announce that the two gangs chosen for this already legendary event are none other than what might possibly be two of the most exclusive and early established autoracing and road warrior gangs in the history of Evan! And it offers us just as intense pleasure to offer YOU, the rabid reader, the chance to determine just how these two gangs will go at each other's throats: 1. A thrilling DeVille race through the twisted pathways of one of Northern Evans most breakneck venues, the Gateway Trench 2. A destructive deathrace in Rising Suns along the wide open and exposed trails of Gateway's Dry Lake Track 3. A man-o a man-o ultimate confrontation in the ever-popular and ever-dangerous Hearseman, right here in our very own Somerset Junkyard Area You decide. We provide. Rabid readers, start voting. You certainly know, the developpers are very busy, and they may not be able to free up enough time for the 3 events.
Anyway, let's vote for the first one, we will decide later if there will be a sequel to this. 
And Coco: a 5 L beer barrel doesn't count as only 1 beer... |

As anyone might guess from the way the post above is written, I was the one who wrote it. Therefore, do not plague Sam with questions on the Event (especially since he will be busy preparing for what is to come ).
A few tips on making the ardous voting process (so many options, SO little time) somewhat easier (especially for you new players, who might not know the horsepower, weapon configurations, tire selection and paint jobs of the Hearseman by heart): Here is where you'll find information on the different venues we are planning to turn into graveyards for the gang members of the Road Ronins and The Clarinbridge Crushers use for this most exciting occasion. And if you stumble into your own Events Diary (Gameplay -> Events Diary), and press the custom events button, you can check the different car configurations by switching between races, deathraces and arena combats. So, what are you waiting for? Start scribbling! |

May I point those cowards from the Clarinbridge Crushers will never show up? There is more cactus juice than blood in their pale bodies. Who are those guys anyway? a band? a circus? Let's face the reality, Road Ronins are already the true winners!

Muhahaha, just take a look at the average skills of our characters and you'll see which gang between the two has a better life expectency..
I think we could probably squeeze a best-of-three system into this, after all we'll hardly need the full three events to decide the matter ;-) |

heh, yeah I reckon all 3 would be good. We can do them in the order of preference, which seems to be:
1) combat 2) deathrace 3) race
I think we have a new title for it ;-) |

I think doing all 3 is best too with the combat being the most interesting as I think viKK has the best odds there.
but I suggest doing them in the reverse order of popularity and saving the main event (combat) till the end. |

Chase....you missed a good fight!
1V1 race.... Devilles on De Trench! 2V2 Deathrace... Sunrises with Lasers on the "Dragon Teeth" Gateway track. 3V3 Arena... and finally Hearses with CGL's, single shot rockets, flamethrowers and rocket boosters on the JY Mine Arena! Sam won the first...... Vikk took the other 2..... I would like to say that it was skill involved in determining the winners! Each race, except the first one was close and could have gone either way at certain parts of the event! A hearty well done to both Vikk and Sam! |

That's not true! Ronins have been ruling those events from the beginning to the end. We only decided to lose the first one on purpose, to save Sam's reputation. Haven't you noticed, all the beginner mistakes I was doing while driving? You don't expect Ronins to drive that bad for real, do you? what yes?
