The ISP finally admitted that they had a problem with the power to the rack that the server was in, and fixed it. After having me on hold for 40 minutes. If anyone lost anything due to crashed events, please let me know..

*sam* Posted Aug 7, 2008, 6:08 pm	I actually just got set up with a beefy new server in Germany (dual core Athlon 6000+, 2 hard drives, 6GB RAM) which I'm setting up initally as a remote game server (the same as the French one). It has a lot more power than the two existing servers put together, so if it's stable for the next few weeks I'll drop the other two and use it alone. It makes more sense not to have servers in different locations, as currently a failure in either location (Ireland or France) causes games to drop.

putriddead Posted Aug 15, 2008, 8:21 am	i have a problem resulting from this same issue. after the events got nuked i went to my gang page and looked at my vehicles. The borrowed that was in the scout event said still travelling but in squad page it said he was home. so i removed the car from the squad and now its all messed up. the crew in it are stuck in there and if i try to do anything with the squad or vehicle it tells me that i cant because evertything is still in an event. i cant get the guys out of the vehicle... this is a serious deal because these are the 2 crew i been training since i started. i have no one else good. please help!

Edit: actually your borrowed car seems ok, perhaps it got fixed by some cleanup code during the night. I'll exit the characters for you but I think it should have been possible for you to do it now.

*sam* Posted Aug 15, 2008, 10:45 am	I found out what is was actually. When an event closes incorrectly, the vehicles and cars stay "checked out" by it. This is normally cleaned up on a regular basis by the daemons, but occasionally they miss them.
