Transfer the 2 Morgan tracks to Shanty, and setup a very lucrative sponsered league there with a new badge, to entice players to run the PVP gauntlet to enter. (Then Necro can blast everyone who tries to travel there, and Joel can win the Shantyville league every season!) Seriously though, I think it's a good idea to write off morgan and just transfer the 2 tracks to Shanty. I have had my flag open for over a year, and have only ran into two other squads. Both were truced (shame on me, right?). It was my little experiment. The experiment told me the game community is too small to warrant any kind of PvP restrictions. So there. I was a big fan of the flag only if it worked everywhere. That way, a player could choose how to play. But the more I play, I see the whole flag idea is flawed/broken. We are supposed to be shooting at each other out there in the wilderness, not in the forums, as so often happens. I for one, look forward to shooting at whoever is in front of me (provided I am not too tired to pull the trigger). Yeah you might get my stuff, but its just stuff. This is just a game. Loss and rebuilding is what makes an epic tale. Like when we were all starting. Remember when one bad scout set your gang back days of playing. Well that feeling is never coming back until we start bleeding each other out there in the wild. So maybe I would feel different if somebody was hunting me down. Maybe. I don't know. I was a huge fan of the flag being meaningful in more areas and welcomed that change, In the end though, the folks that claimed the forced PvP would chase them from the game until it was changed back, never returned. I said many of my mates would not return if the flags were of limited use. Yes, many of them quit and never returned (Maybe they never really liked Car Wars after all.). They refused to return even after being made aware of the expanded use of the flag. My point is the flag has done nothing but erode the player base (from my perspective) which is not good for business, For this reason alone I would scrap it if I were in charge. I have seen how this community behaves and we have our tiffs, but when somebody does something egregious, those with the ability bring the hammer down. Being able to flag up does not allow the hammer to hit. Yup, I am a big fan of PvE too. I like to do PvE all the time. It's really all I ever do. If I could just do PvE and sell my junk to the rest of you I would. It's just how I roll. The hybrid system is no good though and the online nature of the game is what it is. As an aside. I played a whole pile of Car Wars events and still plan to do more in the future, and rarely have I had a character survive an event. Well for me the flag experiment is over, I have burned it. No I didn't want to re-hash this as I'm still having a hard time sitting down from the last hash of the flag. I did not mean to hash it at all. This is my response to fix shanty. I still think everywhere or nowhere for the flag. If it must remain, make it unchangeable for the duration of the subscription or 3 months, whichever is shorter. But seriously this flag stuff is really Mickey Mouse. Just look at the ridiculousness of it all. Really? My big idea to fix it is to change the interval for flag changes? Duct tape is all that is. No, tape won't do, there needs to be a permanent fix. Guess if I felt like counting bullet casings I could go to scavenger. Or just keep my flag open and forget the whole thing and avoid the forums for another few months.......
