Hi Everyone,

First post. This is a great game and community.

I have a question on cancelling orders after the firing phase. I have found that occasionally the enemy does not resign until after I have sent my firing orders. I then shoot them after they resigned and they call me names. I assume my faction with them drops.

My question is: is there a way to stop my firing? I have tried to switch it when I saw the resignation. That has not worked for me. Am I doing something wrong?

I am slowly becoming disliked by many gangs. Is there a way I can avoid this and still engage in deathraces/arena combats?

Resignations probably shouldn't take effect until after the firing phase is complete. Even if you change it for the AI, a player could still make use of this complication at the moment to cause another player to take a reputation hit.

I don't think you get it.  The npcs often resign right after you hit your end turn button but before you fire...so it's like you fired on them right after a resign.

Players are not able to do this unless they resign at the last second of the turn. Still a chance to catch it if you are ready for such things.

Yes I get it. I've experienced it before. The AI can even resign after a single GG shot hits them before the second GG shot hits them.

It shouldn't happen.

ENOUGH!

Get rid of the anti shark code (I think he's gone and already an enemy to all) All the npcs are acting like shark.

Latte never does arena combats and they tried to kill him.

Hallen and me desperate to end the fight wind up several post surrender shot because of the bug mention in post #1 of this thread. Now I have several new arena enemies cause the NPCs don't know how to resign properly.

Just scrap the whole bloody system, it's a mess.

The NPC resignation needs to happen before the shooting phase. If that was fixed, it would work fine.

This is true.  I think people affected should also have their "rep" unsoiled...

Considering how brutal the rep hits seem to be, I have to agree it's a pressing issue. I haven't had this problem though I've shot many NPCs after these "flash resignations"; I suppose I don't run as many town events as I used to.

However, I have to disagree with removing the code altogether. Granted Shark seems to be back in hibernation, but Sam's rep adjustment is a great way to counter players who completely ignore event objectives... provided this resignation business is addressed!

EDIT: Has this been Mantised/Mantisized/Mantarded? Does it need to be?

Agreed.  It's killing the gangers I'm trying to train up.  The NPC's are far more of a threat than shark ever was.
