Shana Gomez walks into Dexter's. Dark shades cover her eyes, and she moves carefully, as if she is worried she might stumble and fall.

"Hey, Shana," calls Dexter.

"Hey, Dex. Listen. Who bought me a drink last night?"

"Pretty near everyone, I reckon," Dexter chuckles. "And the story's all over the Gazette. He reaches under the bar and grabs a copy.

Shana winces. "God, do I really look that awful."

Dexter considers lying. "This morning," he shrugs. "Maybe a little."

"Well, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me out. If I missed anyone, you'll be sure to tell them to let me know."

"I will, love," says Dexter, handing over a bloody Mary, spiced and fresh. "Now drink this, it will help."

9 hours earlier.......

Susan "Siouxsie" Blakley of the Gearjammers hear the commotion of voices and hurried footsteps from all of the buildings in Somerset as soon as she stepped out of Dexters followed by a few of her team members.

She reached out and grabbed one of the mob.
"Whats up?" She didn't recognize who she asked......

"The Vanguards just got jumped at the gates!...." The girl said as she jerked out of Sue's hand and ran to the wall protecting Somerset.

Susan locked eyes with John "The Hitman" Force, another of the Gearjammers snipers, and pointed to the SE corner... "Go.... Make em count!"
John was a good Sniper....either in the car or out of it!

Susan ran to the steps leading up to the gallery walkway at the the top of the town circling facade and climbed to the East facing wall above the large gateway entrance to town. She could hear Johns breathing in her 'voice activated' radio. "In position Sue" he said as he readied his scoped rifle over the top of the wall.

Johns voice cracked as he described the carnage. "I have....seven...check that....NINE..repeat..nine bogies on one runner!....She's running to the gate."

John leveled the rifle and stared with both eyes open...one through the scope and one focused on the truck about to overtake the running female.
The crosshairs of his scope were centered on the driver. He kept the 'scope' eye open and closed the other eye, deep breath-hold --steady trigger--he let the round fly. The truck hit the dune and kicked left as the bullet found its' mark dead center in the head of the gunner of the truck a full 2 feet right of the intended target.

John saw the miss and swore to himself.... The trucks windshield, painted red with the gore of the gunners head, left the driver unable to compensate for the dune jump and rolled uncontrollably.

A cheer went up around him as John chambered his next round.
John shouldered the rifle again and sighted the running female...

"Run...." he thought to himself... Then he yelled... "RUN DAMMIT!.........RUN!"...

As he yelled the whole top of the wall erupted in flame aimed at the Turpins. Everyone who had a gun or a sight on the incoming vehicles opened up on them.

Supersonic projectiles flew over the running females head and impacted every enemy vehicle in sight. John stood there smiling watching the cars turn and leave as the woman reached the gates. "DAMN...I love this town." he thought and then "Sue.... no worries.... One shot ....one kill.. We saved another"

in a attept to distract the other pirate drivers the migit stripper on someones shoulders takes off her shirt and low and behold 3 breast dont know if the pirates saw it or not but she had a customer that night.

come by the clinic later and get a shot youll need it
