DG: Good morning, Mr. Messenger. Who are you mumbling to? MM: Hello Pilgrim, I speak to the one true God, and pray that it will show me the way for my people. DG: You are here in the sun, wearing a thick robe and some sort of cape, care to comment on that? MM: It would have been easy to dismiss, if it had been just one lunatic who said it was coming. DG: I see. What was coming, in your visions...these are visions we`re talking about, right? I mean, other than you as the one lunatic... MM: The days before the rise of the insects seemed peaceful. It was only a few who knew...and were willing to be called crazy or paranoid...they were also the first sacrifices to the clattering hordes, which shut them up permanently. DG: Ah yes, and who`s bothered by being called crazy? Of course we all love the downtrodden being trodden down, eh? Yes, that`s a moment we can all share in. But Moses, if I may call you that, what did your delusion say would happen next? MM: We didn`t know it, but Evan sat just along the wave-line of power that echoed out as an amplified after-shock from the new polar axis of the Earth`s gravitational shift. DG: What? MM: Wave theory, you know? Hey man, I was a physicist before this gig, and I can`t really tell you how it works...but I have a theory, see? The reflections of those waves echoed from the mountains surrounding Evan and the whole darned happening amplified the intensity...and had its way with Mother Nature. You dig? DG: Indeed, man, we do dig. So in your own words, what other freaky stuff happened in this waking hallucination? MM: It was a mess of potential with bugs, mutants, and human all fighting for the right to carry God`s torch. Each was chosen to evolve the planet, but only one would fulfill the prophecies. DG: Your `prophecies` I made the little quotes in air and it appeared to infuriate Moses MM: Hey MAN! Those who were left were transformed, man! They were the first wave of casualties, just little waves lapping against a seemingly permanent shore. Cast back only to make the next wave stronger. DG: Yes, so you`ve said, and yet here we are. What are you on, really? MM: Look, somewhere in-between the waves the humans began to find the best refuge in each other. Legend says it came from one man...but history knows that it happened only because man found a way to be one. DG: This legend, you have a source...one you don`t share a bottle with? MM: DUDE! You have to let go and LISTEN! The second wave allowed the bugs their rightful place as the inheritors of the Earth. There were few to argue...but the few who remained will live forever in legend. The children of these survivors were twisted, changed, and drunk with power...and they pushed the bugs back down for a time.
